City Of Ember  by Jeanne DuPrau: This is the first book in a series that is just about to be made into a movie this fall.  This book is about a girl named Lina in a world called Ember.  Ember is a city in the middle of nowhere; you see it is a city where all of it's skies are black and there is a shortage of food.  It is sort of a science fiction story but a great adventure as well.I find the story very intriguing and hard to put down.
